The next chapter of The Mummy franchise may have found a new face, with Obsession star Michael Johnston reportedly in early negotiations to come on board, as per Variety.

Despite earning fame from Teen Wolf, the 30-year-old actor earned praise for his work on the low-budget Curry Barker horror film which became a box office hit.

Even though there has been no confirmation about his role in the fourth installment, it is official that Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz will be returning to the franchise.

Brendan, 57, starred as Rick O'Connell. and Rachel took on the role of Evelyn O'Connell in the fan favourite supernatural adventure and horror production and will be reprising those roles for the upcoming film.

Universal Pictures has set Mummy 4 for a wide theatrical release on October. 15, 2027.

Directiong the project will be Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of Radio Silence.

Michael starred as Bear in the psychological horror opposite Inde Navarrette's Nikki.

The story centers on Bear, a shy and reserved music store employee whose wish for his coworker Nikki to fall in love with him unleashes a terrifying supernatural nightmare with devastating consequences.
