Scott Eastwood is recalling how his agents initially advised him not to work with pop star Taylor Swift.

The actor revealed he was advised not to appear in a project with the pop icon by his agent.

The project was the Wildest Dreams music video which cam eout in 2015 after the release of Taylor’s Grammy-winning album 1989.

During the Monday, August 3 episode of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Scott recalled the experience a decade later.

“They were like, ‘This is a bad idea … do not do a Taylor Swift music video,’” he said.

Scott said “And I said, ‘Nah, you know, I don’t agree. I think that she’s cool and she has a really cool idea for this thing and I think it’s a cool creative thing. So let’s do it.’”

He revealed Taylor reached out to him personally and recruited him for the video.

The son of actor and filmmaker Clint Eastwood appeared as the singer’s love interest in the cinematic video, which follows two actors who develop a romance while filming a Hollywood movie in Africa.
