The final episode of Geo TV’s popular drama Mohra, which garnered strong viewership across the region, aired on Sunday.

Starring Laiba Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Aagha Ali and Syeda Tuba Anwar, the 75-episode serial was produced by 7th Sky Entertainment, directed by Mohsin Mirza and written by Tahir Nazeer.

What is Mohra’s story?

Mohra explores how ego and greed can blind people, making them forget the difference between right and wrong, and how a single decision driven by pride or financial gain can change multiple lives, including those of innocent people.

Alizay, played by Laiba Khan, is portrayed as a confident and intelligent young woman who lives with her mother and sister, Anooshay. 

Despite belonging to a lower-middle-class family, Alizay remains content with her life and shares a strong bond with her sister.

In contrast, the Hamdani family consists of Fareed Hamdani (Behroze Sabzwari), his wife Armeen (Nida Mumtaz), and their children Hamza (Mikaal Zulfiqar), Sikandar (Aagha Ali) and Nimra. 

While Fareed and Hamza are kind and grounded, Sikandar and Nimra inherit their mother’s pride, allowing ego to cloud their judgement and create internal family conflicts.

The final episode centred on Alizay’s emotional journey as she forgives Sikandar and her mother-in-law, bringing long-standing conflicts to an end. 

Sikandar admits his mistakes and visits Anooshay’s grave to seek forgiveness, while Alizay signs documents transferring property, reflecting her strength and independence.

A time jump later reveals Alizay living peacefully with her husband and their two children, providing closure to the story. 

The episode underscored themes of trust, forgiveness and emotional growth, marking a strong conclusion to the long-running drama.

The series received widespread appreciation across South Asia, with fans from across the border calling for more similar content.
