Tylor Chase's mother refuses GoFundMe money for former child star
Tylor Chase who is a former Nickelodeon actor has sparked concern online after being spotted homeless in the streets of Riverside, California.
Tylor Chase rose to fame for playing Martin Qwerly on 'Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide'.
The former child actor's face reappeared in a recent heartbreaking TikTok video that showed him sleeping on the street.
The clip quickly went viral initiating conversations around the long-term struggles faced by child actors after fame fades.
Chase starred alongside Devon Werkheiser and Daniel Curtis Lee on the hit Nickelodeon series which aired from 2004 to 2007.
Fans remember him as the quiet and thoughtful character in the trio’s middle school adventures making the viral clip especially hard to watch for longtime fans.
Following the video, a GoFundMe campaign was launched and raised more than $1,200 to help with food and basic necessities.
However, the fundraiser was later stopped by Chase’s mother who revealed he has bipolar disorder and ongoing financial difficulties.
Former co-star Daniel Curtis Lee later visited Chase and urged fans not to look for “quick fixes,” stressing that his situation requires long-term care, stability and housing support.
Despite the attention locals claim Chase remained on the streets toward the end of 2025.
While many fans expressed heartbreak and frustration others criticised the filming of the viral video itself questioning whether his struggle should have been documented at all.
The video has left many hoping Chase will receive sustained help and reopened debate about how the industry supports child actors once the spotlight moves on.
