A short clip doing the rounds online has once again pushed Sidhu Moosewala into internet chatter, with many on social media oddly convinced that the late Punjabi singer might still be alive.

The speculations sparked buzz enough that singer Big Boi Deep felt the need to step in and clear the air.

This started after Canadian rapper AR Paisley posted a video on Instagram, casually captioned “2 AM IN NYC.” The clip showed him hanging out with Big Boi Deep, also known as Pardeep Kumar, a name that’s been popping up in India’s hip-hop and trap scene lately.

As soon as the video made its way to social media, a section of viewers began insisting that a person in the background looked a lot like the So High vocalist.

One confused fan commented, “Bro can you please confirm. Is that Sidhu Bhai behind?” while another confidently claimed, “Sidhu paaji found at the back.”

Someone else went a step further, writing, “Waiting for a miracle now, something shocking… Please.”

Another user wrote, "Waiting for a miracle now, something shocking...Please."

However, the rapper has now addressed the rumours and issued a clarification. In a video message, he explained that the person seen in the viral clip is his elder brother, Andy, not  Moosewala.

Sharing the details about the video, he said, "This was October 2025, when, after a show, we sat down for a jamming session. During that session, a powerful song was created, which we sang and later uploaded the video on social media. After the video went up, people started asking questions about who was sitting in the background."

He urged fans, "Accept what you have seen with your own eyes, all of you have seen Bhai’s (Sidhu) dead body and his final rites. He has set a standard for his fans; now become fans at that level and promote his legacy and his music."

For the unversed, Sidhu Moosewala was shot and killed in May 2022 by gangsters linked to Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang in Punjab.
