‘50 times bigger’: actor gives peek into 'Dhurandhar' part 2
Actor hints at bigger action and tension in Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar' sequel
Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller Dhurandhar is not just winning at the box office, it is shaping the conversation around mainstream Hindi cinema this year.
Since its release on December 5, the film has climbed past every major release of 2025 to become the highest-grossing Indian film so far.
The Aditya Dhar-directed action drama has crossed the lifetime collections of Stree 2 and Kantara Chapter One, and recently overtook Chhaava to claim the top spot.
But even as theatres remain packed, attention is already shifting to what comes next.
Actor Naveen Kaushik, who played Donga in the film, has hinted that the sequel will raise the stakes significantly.
Speaking to Just Too Filmy, he refused to reveal plot details but said, “Aapne Part 1 mein jo dekha hain na… the action, the mystery, the manipulation is going to be ramped up by 50! Because I have seen it being done! It is 50 times what is in this one. Shoot sab ho chuka hain. I am not in part 2 but I know what happens.”
Naveen also pointed to the unusual way audiences have embraced the film. “Bohot time se sirf moments, gaane viral ho rahe the, but ye film viral ho rahi he,” he said, adding that viewers are analysing scenes and rediscovering supporting actors.
Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian operative infiltrating terror networks in Karachi, alongside Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan.
The second part is set for release on March 19, 2026.
