Emma Watson has landed a major new honour.

The Harry Potter star has been nominated at the British Diversity Awards 2026, placing her alongside some of the UK’s most influential public figures.

The ceremony will take place on March 25, 2026 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London and is focused on recognising individuals and organisations making a real impact on diversity and inclusion across Britain.

Watson is nominated for the Media Personality of the Year award which is a category recognising stars who use their platforms to bring positive social change.

The Beauty and the Beast star faces stiff competition from an A-listers including Sir Elton John, Sir Lenny Henry, Nicola Coughlan, Vicky McClure, Dr Alex George, Cat Burns and Sam Thompson.

Beyond acting she has become one of the most prominent voices in gender equality, education and human rights using her global profile to push for meaningful reform.

The British Diversity Awards are among the UK’s most prestigious honours in the inclusion space, spotlighting figures who go beyond fame to create lasting change.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Dr Ranj Singh and Charlene White and is expected to draw major names from entertainment, sport and business.
