Actor Aneet Padda has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons, though it is not directly about herself or her work. It’s her sister, Reet Padda, who has suddenly become the talking point.

Reet posted criticism of the Ranveer Singh film Dhurandhar 2, calling it “propaganda”. 

Screenshots of her replies spread quickly online, and the reaction was sharp. Fans of the film pushed back, some quite aggressively.

In one of the posts, she wrote, “For Dhurandhar, it literally serves as a government-friendly narrative… Call it propaganda? Yep. Deny it? Not a chance.” That line, especially, seems to have travelled fast.

She didn’t stop there. Reet also mentioned The Kashmir Files and Kerala Files, saying, “Take a sliver of truth, sprinkle in some absurdly inflated numbers, and suddenly you've got a full blown narrative against a community…”

After the backlash grew, she turned her Instagram account private. Now it appears to be gone completely. 

Searches for it show the usual message that the page isn’t available. Her LinkedIn has also been taken down.

What’s interesting is how quickly this moved. But even after deleting her account, the criticism is far from over.

As of now, neither Aneet Padda nor the makers of Dhurandhar 2 have said anything publicly so far.
