Daniel Radcliffe thinks the Harry Potter sketch on Saturday Night Live must be funny, but he missed it.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the former Harry Potter actor reacted to a sketch-comedy late-night show spoof about a Harry Potter-themed Heated Rivalry.
The sketch in question featured last month when Finn Wolfhard came to host the show, and it showed Finn as Harry and Ben Marshall as Ron Weasley.
Hockey romance, Heated Rivalry, has been trendy for a while now for its raunchy scenes and follows Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, the two hockey stars involved in romance.
SNL spins Heated Rivalry romance into the love between Harry and Ron in “Heated Wizardry.”
Speaking with Rolling Stone, Daniel shared that he met Finn a few weeks before and they chatted for a bit. Then the day before SNL aired, Finn texted Daniel, “Hey, just so you know, we're doing a Harry Potter sketch.”
“I haven't seen Heated Rivalry, although I am very aware - my girlfriend is a huge fan,” he shared. “I'm sure there are jokes I was missing, but it was very funny and sweet. I'm always happy to see other versions of that. It makes me laugh.”
In the sketch, Ron and Harry’s Quidditch rivalry takes a twist into a secret romance, echoing the original series’ storyline.
“Coming soon to HBO, the beloved wizarding world of Harry Potter arrives on the small screen,” added the voiceover.
