Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, has finally broken his silence following his near-fatal incident on Monday, April 6.

The 34-year-old rapper was shot in the valet area of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood in Florida, prompting his immediate transfer to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Following his release in stable condition on Friday, April 10, Offset took to Instagram to express heartfelt gratitude through a handwritten letter, thanking fans for their support during the difficult time.

"Thank you to everyone who's checked in on me and showed me love! I'm good....but I'm planning to be better!" he began.

The Clout hitmaker added, "I'm focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music...realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses…"

"Life's a gamble and I'm still playing to win," he concluded.

Offset’s representative confirmed the shooting on Tuesday morning, stating, "We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently receiving medical care at the hospital."

The former husband of Cardi B was admitted to a South Florida hospital following Monday night’s shooting, after which police arrested rapper Lil Tjay, who is accused of starting the altercation that led to the gunshot wound.Authorities said an associate of the 24-year-old rapper shot Offset.

 Tjay later spent the night in jail on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct (affray) charge and, following his release, called Offset a “rat” while speaking to the media.
