Pedro Pascal has become one of Hollywood’s most recognisable faces in recent years, following standout roles across television and film.

The actor is now reflecting on how his career trajectory shaped his experience of fame.

Speaking to Variety, Pascal said he is grateful that success came later in life, allowing him to grow before facing widespread recognition.

“I think there are two ways of looking at it,” he said, noting that feelings of imposter syndrome can surface even when achieving long-held goals.

He added, “There’s a universal feeling of imposter syndrome that we all can experience when we’re being unkind to ourselves,” before pointing to a more positive perspective shaped by his age and experience.

“I’m incredibly grateful for having been a fully developed character before experiencing any kind of large-scale exposure,” Pascal said, adding, “I’m kind of out of the oven, already baked.”

The actor also referenced the contrast between his age and some of his recent projects, saying, “What is a 50-year-old man doing dancing in La Casita?”

Pascal noted that his breakout moment came later than many peers, recalling, “I was 38 years old when I got the part of Oberyn Martell” in Game of Thrones.

The remarks highlight his perspective on navigating fame with greater maturity.
