Here’s an interesting lineup of films to watch on OTT this week
May 1 is marked as a holiday in many parts of the world, including India, as International Labour Day, and it falls on a Friday this year, which makes the coming weekend a long one.
For people who want to enjoy this long weekend while staying indoors in this scorching heat, here’s an interesting lineup of films to watch on OTT this week.
Leader
Cast: Saravanan, Shaam, Payal Rajput, Andrea Jeremiah, Santhosh Prathap, Lal, Baby Iyal, Amritha Aiyer, VTV Ganesh
Where to Watch: Amazon Prime Video
Leader is about a simple man whose life suddenly goes off track when he gets stuck between the police and some underworld people. He isn’t someone powerful or trained, just an ordinary guy trying to live his life but things keep getting worse around him.
As the situation heats up, he has no option but to deal with both sides carefully if he wants to stay alive. There’s fear, confusion, and constant pressure.
At the same time, he’s also thinking about how to keep his loved ones safe. The film mostly shows how a normal person reacts when everything turns dangerous and out of control.
Aadu 3: One Last Ride – Part 1
Cast: Jayasurya, Saiju Kurup, Vinayakan, Renji Panicker, Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bhagath Manuel, Indrans, Bijukuttan
Where to Watch: ZEE5
Aadu 3: One Last Ride – Part 1 is set far in the future, where Earth is almost finished in terms of resources and a strict group called the Organization is controlling everything.
They are looking for something called Star Dust, which can mess with time. On the other side, there’s a group trying to stop them by going back and changing things from the past.
The story keeps moving between different timelines, which might feel confusing at times. You also see Shaji Pappan and his gang in different versions of their lives, including older time periods. It builds slowly and then just stops at a point, clearly saving the rest for the next part.
Rakasa
Cast: Sangeeth Shobhan, Nayan Sarika, Getup Srinu, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmaji, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vennela Kishore, Rajsekhar Aningi
Where to Watch: Netflix
Rakasa starts with a man named Veeru coming back from the US to marry his childhood love, but things don’t go as he planned.
He finds out she’s about to marry someone else, which hits him hard. He tries to stop it but fails, and later ends up drunk and passes out near an old fort that people say is haunted.
From there, the film changes its tone and becomes more about strange and scary things happening around him. It’s not very straightforward, and a lot depends on what he experiences during that night. The story mixes heartbreak with some eerie moments.
TN 2026
Cast: Natty Subramaniam, MS Bhaskar, Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu, Shrrita Rao, Chandini Tamilarasan, Yashika Aannand, Redin Kingsley
Where to Watch: Amazon Prime Video
TN 2026 follows Kulkanth Kumar, a North Indian guy who moves to Chennai just to earn money, but somehow ends up becoming a film hero.
His Tamil isn’t great, but still people notice him, mostly because he looks like MG Ramachandran. A rich man named Sivalinga Mandradiyar takes interest in him and starts helping him grow in films.
Slowly, things get bigger and he’s pushed towards politics as well. The film shows how his life changes from being a nobody to someone important. At the same time, it also focuses on whether he really wants all this or is just going along with what others expect.
Biker
Cast: Sharwanand, Rajasekhar, Malavika Nair, Brahmaji, Atul Kulkarni
Where to Watch: Netflix
Biker is about a racer who leaves the sport when he’s actually doing well. The reasons are mostly personal, related to family issues and some past problems.
After staying away for a while, he decides to come back, not just for racing but also to fix things in his life. The film has racing scenes, but it’s also about relationships and trying to make things right again.
He has to deal with his past, face people he left behind, and prove that he still has it in him. It’s more about redemption than just winning on the track.
