'Pushpa 2' tragedy still fresh as Allu Arjun’s father visits victims
The incident that happened on December 4, 2024 during the 'Pushpa 2' premiere resulted in a death
The tragic stampede during a screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad is still affecting the family of Revathi, who died in the chaos outside Sandhya Theatre last year.
This week, actor Allu Arjun’s father, producer Allu Aravind, and his wife Allu Sneha Reddy visited Revathi’s family at their home.
A video shared by the 44-year-old star's team showed them speaking with family members, including Revathi’s husband Bhaskar and her children.
In one emotional moment, Aravind spoke to Sritej’s sister Sanvi and told her, “Will you study well? You must. I will bear all the expenses.”
The incident happened on December 4, 2024, when huge crowds gathered at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad’s RTC X Roads area to see Arjun during the premiere of the film.
Fans rushed forward as the actor arrived with his children and co-star Rashmika Mandanna.
Revathi died in the stampede while her son Sritej suffered serious injuries and was later placed on ventilator support.
He was discharged only in April 2025 and is still recovering.
After the tragedy, Arjun, the film’s producers Mythri Movie Makers and director Sukumar promised financial help.
But Bhaskar later said the family continued to face money problems despite assurances of support.
