Kyle Loftis, 1320Video creator, dies at age 34
Kyle Loftis, the founder of the influential automotive media platform 1320Video, has died at the age of 34, his company confirmed on Tuesday night, May 5.
The announcement was made via a statement on Facebook, where the team expressed shock and grief over the sudden loss.
“We are extremely saddened to share that Kyle Loftis, the founder of 1320video, passed away last night. We are in a state of shock,” the statement read.
It added, “Kyle’s passion for motorsports inspired millions of people around the world and we will never forget what he has done to grow our beloved sport. Kyle was a beam of light at every gathering… his enthusiasm, kindness, and creativity was contagious.”
No cause of death has been disclosed.
Loftis built 1320Video into one of the most recognisable names in global car culture, beginning its journey in the early 2000s and growing it into a digital powerhouse with nearly 4 million YouTube subscribers and more than 6.4 million Facebook followers.
The platform’s reach later expanded to over 10 million fans across multiple channels.
Known for its raw, unfiltered coverage of drag racing, roll racing, dyno runs, and car meet scenes, 1320Video carved out a niche in documenting grassroots motorsport culture.
It also gained attention, and at times controversy, for its focus on street racing content, which often operated in legal grey areas.
Despite debate around its subject matter, Loftis is widely credited with helping bring underground automotive culture into mainstream digital media, turning 1320Video into a defining voice of modern street racing coverage.
