Amy Poehler celebrates major win at 2026 Golden Globes
Amy Poehler’s podcast Good Hang made history by winning the very first Golden Globe for Best Podcast.
On January 11, while receiving the trophy, the 54-year-old actress and comedian made an emotional speech, saying, "I know that I am new to this game. I have great respect for this form. I have great respect for everyone I am nominated with."
Continuing, "I am big fans of all of you, except for NPR: just a bunch of celebs phoning it in. Try harder."
The Parks and Recreation star described her podcast Good Hang as her way of making a “very rough and unkind world filled with a little bit more love and laughter, and laughing with people not at them.”
2026 marked the first year that podcasts were given their own official awards category at the Golden Globes.
Good Hang with Amy Poehler came out on top, beating other nominations including Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard, Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy, The Mel Robbins Podcast, SmartLess, hosted by Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes, and Up First.
Launched in March 2025, Amy’s interview style podcast has hosted many stars like Tina Fey, Andy Samberg, Aubrey Plaza, Seth Meyers, Rashida Jones, Ariana Grande, Dakota Johnson, Selena Gomez, Michelle Obama, Quinta Brunson, Adam Scott and more.
