Katy Perry appears unshaken at Rome show amid Ruby Rose allegations
Katy Perry hosts private concert amid Ruby Rose sexual assault allegations
Katy Perry appears to be unfazed by the ongoing sexual assault allegations made against her by Australian actress Ruby Rose.
On Saturday, April 18, the 41-year-old singer-songwriter surprised fans by delivering an electrifying performance at a private concert at La Nuvola in Rome, Italy.
Shortly after, Perry took to her Instagram account to share the update, posting a carousel of clips and photos featuring moments from the show as well as her time in the Italian city.
She put on a high-energy performance, sparking nostalgia among fans as she sang some of her biggest hits, including Firework, Teenage Dream, California Gurls, and Harleys in Hawaii.
For the gig, Perry donned a shiny silver bra top paired with a long, flowing black skirt.
"Just Rome’ing around," she captioned the post.
The concert update comes after Rose alleged that the singer rubbed her private parts against her face at the Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne nearly two decades ago.
"Katy Perry sexually assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a shit what she thinks," she claimed on social media.
Katy Perry’s response to Ruby Rose allegations
However, the E.T. hitmaker has strongly denied the allegations made by the Orange Is the New Black actress.
"The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies," a statement read.
It added, "Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named."
Katy Perry is now under investigation after Ruby Rose formally filed a complaint against her.
