Netflix has announced the release date of Saif Ali Khan starrer Kartavya, produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment.

On Thursday, makers and the streaming platform shared a new poster of the film with a release date announcement, which features the 55-year-old in a serious mood, standing near flames, and a cop vehicle behind him.

Alongside the look, the caption read, "Kartavya ke iss chakravyuh mein, har faisla ek imtihaan hoga. Watch Kartavya, out 15 May, only on Netflix."

Directed and written by Pulkit (known for Bhakshak), the cop drama is set to release on Netflix on 15 May. 

It brings a tense, grounded story from the heartland, where a police officer is pushed to his breaking point in a world that isn’t black and white.

Along with the Cocktail actor, the cast includes Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Manish Chaudhari, and Saurabh Dwivedi, who makes his acting debut here.

The film follows Khan’s character as he deals with growing threats around him while also trying to protect his family. As things get messier, the line between right and wrong starts to fade. 

The story leans into themes like power, guilt, and what happens when people choose to stay silent, forcing you to think about what justice really costs.

For Saif Ali Khan, his crime movie Kartavya is his second work after Sacred Games, in which he performed as Inspector Sartaj Singh.

Apart from this film, the Kal Ho Na Ho star also had another Netflix project titled Hum Hindustani, directed by Rahul Dholakia, which focused on India’s first general elections.
