Billie Eilish appeared unfazed by the backlash she received over her belief that consuming meat is "inherently wrong."

On Thursday, May 7, the 24-year-old pop superstar took to her Instagram Stories to double down on the stance she shared in an interview last week, saying that people cannot claim to love animals while also eating meat.

"Two things cannot coincide: 'I love all animals so much and I eat meat.' You just can't do both, sorry!" Eilish said in an April 28 interview with Elle magazine.

While posting a series of videos, including documentary clips showing animal abuse within the meat and dairy industries, she insisted that "I really don’t give a goddamn f***" about the backlash and added, "stay f**** mad at ME."

The 10-time Grammy winner continued, "Go watch a documentary or two and some footage of what is done to the animals u claim to love and what it does to the planet u pretend to love as well."

She further addressed critics, adding that if the footage she shared was difficult to watch, she encouraged them to reflect on themselves instead.

Toward the end of her thought-provoking message, Eilish slammed haters by saying she’s "so tired" of acts like "standing up" and "having empathy for living beings" being labelled as "controversial."

"Please continue to live in a constant state of cognitive dissonance and denial and try to convince urself that ur not living a life. Mwah," she concluded.
