FIFA is reportedly preparing a globe-spanning entertainment lineup for the 2026 World Cup, with Katy Perry and Lisa of BLACKPINK linked to the tournament’s opening celebrations across North America.

According to The Athletic, FIFA plans to stage three separate opening ceremonies tied to matches in the United States, Canada, and Mexico as part of the expanded 48-team tournament, which begins on June 11.

Mexico will launch the competition at Estadio Azteca with a match against South Africa. Mexican music acts including Maná, Alejandro Fernández, and Belinda are reportedly set to perform, while South African star Tyla is also expected to appear.

The following day, Canada’s opening group-stage match against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto is set to feature performances from Canadian artists Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, and Alessia Cara.

Meanwhile, the United States will face Paraguay at SoFi Stadium near Los Angeles, where Perry is reportedly expected to headline alongside Future, DJ Sanjoy, and Paraguayan singer Marilina Bogado.
