Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor Dirk Blocker sent fans into a frenzy after a cryptic move.

Over the past few weeks, the 68-year-old actor, who played Hitchcock on the hit sitcom, had shared several Brooklyn Nine-Nine related posts.

He took to Instagram once again on March 24, and shared behind the scene pictures of the show.

Dirk posted pictures of Melissa Fumero, who played Amy Santiago, and Andy Samberg, who took on the role of Jake Peralta, writing, "Surely you get it now?" in the caption.

His cryptic post sparked excitement among fans who speculated whether another season was in the works after the detective comedy ended in 2021.

"OMG SEASON 9?!?!?" a fan penned.

"It's 9 years since B99 started. It’s the 9 Year Anniversary," another stated.

"Is Brooklyn Nine-Nine coming back?" a fan questioned on X, formerly Twitter.

However, some were less enthusiastic about an alleged reunion without a cast member. One user acknowledged the absence of the late Andre Braugher, saying, "I don't really want a reunion without Holt."

"Without Holt?" another said.

For the unversed, Andre , who took on the role of the beloved character Captain Holt, passed away on 11 December, 2023, at age 61 from lung cancer, as per his publicist, Jennifer Allen.
