Medha Shankar recently shared about her “humiliating” experience in the industry ahead of the release of her upcoming film Ginny Wedss Sunny 2.

The 28-year-old actress, who earned a major breakthrough with her role in 12th Fail, opened up about her interaction with designers.

In an exclusive conversation with Siddharth Kannan, she said, “At events, with designers, you know small things like “this designer will not give this outfit to you”, we all hear that. Of course, it doesn’t matter to me, but I do remember your names… Not that it’s personal, but you do feel, “What just happened her?” So definitely, there I have felt a little absurd.”

Alongside Medha, Avinash Tiwari also reacted to the incident, saying that he respects those who have their own preferences.

Later in the discussion, he added, “Whatever games are being played, we are not here because of anyone’s favour. She is also not here because of anyone’s favour. Everyone is here because of their own talent, so there is no need to fear or overthink so much.”

The duo, who is promoting their much-awaited project Ginny Weds Sunny 2, are gearing up for the release of Prasshant Jha’s directorial.

Ginny Weds Sunny 2, also starring Lillete Dubey, Sudhir Pandey, Govind Namdev, Gopi Bhalla, Nayani Dixit, Vishwanath Chatterjee, and Rohit Chaudhary, is set to hit the theatres on Friday, April 24.
