Taylor Swift reveals who ‘Love Story’ is about
‘Love Story’ was released in 2008
Taylor Swift is arguably one of the most successful musicians ever who has built her career on the foundation of strong songwriting.
The American pop star has released 12 studio albums over two decades of her career since 2006 and has many awards for her autobiographical lyrics.
The pop icon opened up about her songwriting process in depth with The New York Times and explained how she comes up with her songs.
One of her biggest hits in 2008 single Love Story from her second studio album Fearless, which was her transition from country to pop.
Speaking of her writing process for the single, she said it was about a guy who she was too young to date and her parents forbad her from going out with him.
“[My parents wouldn’t let me] go on a date with a guy who was too old, so I shouldn’t have been on a date with him anyway.”
She jokingly added “This is why you need to discipline your kids, because they might write songs, that go #1.”
