Actor Pooja Hegde is reportedly in talks to star opposite Allu Arjun in director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming film, tentatively titled AA23 or LK07.

The makers have not officially confirmed the casting yet, but reports say discussions are currently underway with the 35-year-old for the female lead role in the big-budget action entertainer.

If the casting goes through, this will be Pooja and Allu Arjun’s third film together after DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. 

Both films performed strongly at the box office and became popular with audiences.

The Deva actress has also worked with the 40-year-old filmmaker before, although briefly. She appeared in the song Monica from Coolie starring Rajinikanth. 

The music for the track was composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who is also scoring AA23.

The film has already created strong online buzz as it marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and Lokesh Kanagaraj. 

Its teaser caught attention for its stylish action look, with fans noticing Lokesh’s signature silver kada detail and a possible Western-inspired setting.

Director Rathna Kumar recently described the project as “a proper pan-Indian film” because of its international appeal.

Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde is also preparing for the upcoming release of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai alongside Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur.
