Gippy Grewal faces threat from notorious gangster Goldy Brar
The situation remains tense as fans and authorities await official confirmation
A shocking incident emerged from Punjab as Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal reportedly received a death threat. The threat came through an audio message allegedly sent by notorious gangster Goldy Brar, who is the main accused in the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala.
In the audio, which went viral online, a voice claiming to be Goldy Brar warned Gippy Grewal in Punjabi , “Hanji, main Goldy Brar bol raha hoon. Gippy, mene tujhe thode din pehle bhi mesasage kiya tha, but ab tak koi reply nahi aaya. Mene kuch baat karni hai, mera message mat ignore karo. Kyunki message toh ignore ho sakta hai, par jab goliyan barasengi to vo ignore nahi kar paoge.”
Although the clip circulated widely on social media, authorities have not officially confirmed the threat.
Sukhbir Singh Badal, president of the Shiromani Akali Dal, shared the audio on his X( formerly Twitter) account.
He wrote, “Disturbed to learn that our superstar Gippy Grewal received a threat from notorious gangster Goldy Brar — right after CM @BhagwantMann withdrew his security cover, just because he came to meet me at my Badal residence recently! No one is safe in Punjab anymore, as law and order has totally collapsed. Security is now decided on the CM’s whims and fancies.”
“We already lost one of our best singers, Sidhu Moosewala, due to Bhagwant’s disastrous decision to withdraw his security and leak it to the media. As I warned earlier: if any mishap occurs, Bhagwant Mann, you will be directly responsible!,” Sukhbir added.
The threat comes when Gippy Grewal’s recent movie, Akaal: The Unconquered, faced controversy for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
