KATSEYE’s Manon Bannerman admits group tensions before hiatus
Manon Bannerman is addressing KATEYE’s group tension as she takes a break from the group.
On Tuesday, April 7, NYLON published a cover story where the rising pop star reveals that the pop band members, including Yoonchae Jeung, Sophia Laforteza, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, and Megan Skiendiel, were not always on the "same page."
“Being in a group, it’s just about good communication and setting good boundaries and building a friendship, but also work relationship, and always remembering that it’s a shared goal that we have,” Bannerman shared with the publication.
The musician acknowledged that differences within KATSEYE were inevitable, noting that with six members, “obviously not everyone’s always going to be on the same page about everything.”
She illustrated this with minor disagreements, such as two members wanting to wear the same outfit and having to decide between them.
“But I think we all are at, or have been learning and are finally coming to, a point where for the group’s sake, you give and you take,” she added, before concluding, “You pick your battles.”
KATSEYE has declined to comment on Bannerman’s hiatus, as per NYLON.
