Salman Khan sparked a frenzy online when pictures claiming he will play Bade Sahab in Dhurandhar 2 began circulating.

The images, which surfaced online late Monday night, made the 60-year-old superstar admirers speculate about the character, with some suggesting Bade Sahab could be an underworld don inspired by Dawood Ibrahim.

However, based on latest reports of Hindustan Times, it has now been clarified that the viral pictures are entirely AI generated and based purely on speculation.

A disclaimer attached to the images clearly states that Jio Studios, B62 Studios, and director Aditya Dhar have not confirmed the Dabangg actor's involvement in the project.

Meanwhile, scrolling through the comments section of the viral snapshot, one fan remarked, “Ab aaegya majja.”

“He will rule that character,” another chimed in. A third internet use wrote, “Ye toh AI h But Agar Bhai as Bade Sahab aa gye toh kya hoga box office ka pta nhi.”

Notably, the upcoming sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, will hit cinemas on March 19, 2027, coinciding with Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi.

For the unfamiliar, the sequel will hit theatres in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Professionally, Salman is mainly busy shooting the action war drama Battle of Galwan, which is set to release in 2026.

Moreover, he is also involved in the early production stages of the action film The Bull and is in talks for Prem Ki Shaadi.
