Katy Perry thrilled her devoted fans by making an exciting announcement just two days after her viral appearance at the 2026 Met Gala.

On Wednesday, May 6, the 41-year-old pop singer took to her Instagram handle in a joint post with Baku City Circuit to reveal that she will be performing in Baku, Azerbaijan, during the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

“Expect the Unexpected!” the caption ead, sending fans into a frenzy.

The post added, “Global superstar Katy Perry is coming to light up the stage at the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2026!”

The Firework hitmaker’s performance will take place at the Crystal Ball in Baku as part of the 2026 Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix, a major motorsport event scheduled from Septemeber 24 to 26.

The exciting news comes shortly after Perry made a striking appearance at fashion’s biggest night, walking the red carpet in line with the theme “Fashion is Art.”

For the glamorous event, she donned a white strapless Stella McCartney gown, but what captured the most attention was her  futuristic face mask.
