Stephen Hibbert, best known for playing The Gimp in Pulp Fiction, has left the entertainment world mourning following his tragic death on Monday, March 2, in Denver, Colo.

According to TMZ, the late actor’s daughter Rosalind confirmed her father’s death via a joint press release issued with her siblings, Ronnie and Greg, on Friday, March 6.

Hibbert’s children revealed that he died as a result of a severe heart attack earlier this week.

"Our father, Stephen Hibbert, passed away unexpectedly this week. His life was full of love and dedication to the arts and his family. He will be dearly missed by many," the statement read.

The family has yet to announce the funeral details of the Hollywood artist.

Stephen Hibbert’s professional career

Born in Fleetwood, England, on September 19, 1960, Hibbert began his career as a writer on Late Night with David Letterman from 1984 to 1986. He later wrote episodes of Darkwing Duck, Animaniacs, Mad TV, and Boy Meets World.

In addition to Pulp Fiction, he appeared in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and The Cat in the Hat, and also wrote the film It’s Pat: The Movie.
