British musician Ed Sheeran has shared an update on his wife Cherry Seaborn’s health after her cancer surgery.
The Lego House singer opened up about the frightening moment he learned his wife had cancer while she was pregnant.
Speaking on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast with Benny Blanco and Lil Dicky, Ed recalled the emotional phone call when Cherry revealed her diagnosis with him.
Cherry was diagnosed with a tumor while six months pregnant with Jupiter, who was safely born in May 2022.
“She's fine, she had the operation”, Ed revealed, “She was pregnant at the time. That's why it was difficult. She had the operation to remove the tumor after the birth of our second child. And thankfully — touch wood — totally fine.”
The Grammy-winning star was also mourning the death of close friend Jamal Edwards, the music entrepreneur who helped launch his career.
“That was probably the worst week because Jamal died that week as well, and then we went straight into a court case.” Ed recalled the tough week.
The singer was also preparing to fight his high-profile copyright infringement lawsuit over his 2017 hit Shape of You.
