Gauhar Khan calls Messi ‘loser’ after Argentina, Egypt thriller
Argentina-Egypt World Cup left many people upset
Indian actress Gauhar Khan is one of many football fans across the world who was left heartbroken after the match between Argentina and Egypt.
The two nations came face to face in the Round of 16 knock out match on Tuesday, which ended in a controversial climax.
Gauhar took to her Instagram to criticise the Argentine captain, Lionel Messi.
Sharing a video made by another content creator on the match, she added a caption “What a loser, messy not Messi. Actor of the saddest order.”
The original creator called the match the saddest moment in football history.
The match was going mostly in Egypt’s favour as they were leading with 2-0 at one point but in the last 15 minutes the South American nation quickly equalised and later took the lead.
Messi and co’s on field antics were highly criticised by the public who called the result and refereeing of the match “unfair”.
The match ended with 3-2 in Argentina’s favour who made their way into the Quarter Finals where they will face Switzerland.
