Indian actress Shilpa Shetty has recalled a difficult incident from her early film career, where she continued shooting despite suffering a burn injury on set.

The Rishtey actress shared the experience during a recent interaction on the Tomorrow, Today Show YouTube channel, where she spoke about the challenges she faced in her early days in the industry.

She said she had got burned by an HMI light during a shoot while performing a scene. She explained that she did not immediately realise the injury, but the pain started later.

In her words, she said, “I remember I got burned by HMI light in a shot on my back. The shot was that I had to get out of frame and there was a baby light at the back and my back touched it.”

She further added, “When you get a burn, you don’t realise it that very second, only when it starts burning, you realise it.”

The Aag actress also shared that she still returned to work the next day despite the injury. She said she had difficulty wearing her costume due to the burn.

She added, “I still showed up the next day. I had to wear an outfit next day, but I couldn’t wear it because I was burnt, so I wore it from the front and asked them to stitch it with threads so that I don’t have to zip it.”

The Sukhee actress explained that she lasted working because she did not want the production to suffer any loss and always tried to stay committed to her work.
