Madonna has officially announced Confessions on a Dance Floor 2 confirming long-running speculation about a sequel to one of her most celebrated albums.
The pop icon revealed the project after wiping her Instagram page leaving only the lyric “Time goes by so slowly” a nod to her hit song Hung Up as her bio.
Her official website was also updated with visuals teasing the title “COADF2.”
While no exact release date has been confirmed Madonna has previously hinted that the album is expected to arrive sometime in 2026.
The original Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005) marked a major moment in Madonna’s career delivering a string of global hits including Hung Up, Sorry, Get Together and Jump.
Details about the sequel remain limited. No official tracklist or cover art has been confirmed.
Madonna has shared a photo of herself in a studio setting that fans believe could hint at the album’s visual direction.
The singer has also reunited with producer Stuart Price who worked on the original record.
In a previous post Madonna described her studio sessions with Price as “medicine for my soul” suggesting a return to the sound that defined the first album.
With little information released so far anticipation is building among fans eager to see how Madonna revisits one of her most iconic eras.
